Invitation to Alan Pugh AM, Minister for Culture,
Welsh Languag and Sport, to submit concluding evidence to the Commission

I am writing to invite you to give evidence to the Commission before we conclude our formal evidence gathering in July. We would like to give you the opportunity either to update your predecessor’s earlier evidence or to present any new information that you feel would be helpful to our inquiry.
The particular issues that the Commission would like to pursue with you are as follows:
  • the adequacy of the Assembly’s powers in relation to the Welsh Language
  • questions relating to the distribution of Lottery funding in Wales – should this be delegated to the Assembly?
  • the adequacy of the Assembly’s powers in relation to broadcasting in Wales and the impact of the 2002 Broadcasting Bill measures.
The Commission would be most grateful for your help with the concluding stage of our work.
