From Mr Tom Lamrick

Re : Voice Your opinion on the future of the National Assembly for Wales – Thursday 22 May 2003

There are a number of government organisations in place to make decisions in Wales. In my opinion this affects direct decisions being made, hence affecting powers of the National Assembly for Wales.

All members for the National Assembly receive costs for the duties they undertake. This amounts to a vast sum of funding in Wales.

I feel Wales should be governed and have access to funding as a whole for the country (to include Ireland, Scotland and England).

The electoral system offers sufficient cross section of members to vote for, although the public do not vote because they disagree with the National Assembly being in place.

There are too many members at the National Assembly, also Community Councillors, Councillors, all to run Wales.

This number should be amalgamated and reduced, thus reducing funding.
