Response to "The Powers of the National Assembly for Wales : issues and questions for consultation."

Fairbridge De Cymru is part of the UK-wide Fairbridge charity that runs social and personal development programmes for disaffected and disengaged 13 to 25 year olds. Our main centre is in Cardiff and we have a satellite centre in Ferndale that serves the South Wales Valleys. During 2003, we plan to extend our operations to cover South-West Wales.

Our UK organisation has had to adapt to the new demands of devolution with regard to its Scottish and Welsh activities as well as we have had to adapt to the presence of the National Assembly for Wales.
